 General Hand Parks

  • Salary: Level D $67,287 per annum ($1,293 per week)
  • Plus up to 15% superannuation (conditions apply)
  • Full Time Permanent Position
  • 9 Day Fortnight

The City’s Parks Operations business unit are seeking enthusiastic and motivated General Hands to join their team. In this hands-on busy role, you will carry out scheduled and reactive park maintenance including planting and weeding, and turf maintenance including mowing and whipper snipping, while delivering exceptional customer service to the City’s residents, ratepayers, and employees.

To be successful for this position you will have a minimum of one years’ experience in park operations and will hold the following mandatory tickets and qualifications:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Horticulture or relevant experience.
  • Chainsaw Certificate.
  • WA MR Class Drivers Licence
  • Chemical Certificate (Prepare and apply chemicals to control pest, weeds and diseases AHCCHM307, Transport and store chemicals AHCCHM304 and Control weeds AHCPMG301).
  • Basic Worksite Traffic Management Certificate.
  • Construction Safety Induction Card (White Card).
