Strategic Planning Project Officer – Permanent Full Time

  • Salary: $98,404 - $104,380 per annum
  • Plus up to 14.5% superannuation (conditions apply)

An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced and dedicated strategic planner to join our team to assist in facilitating high quality development that will shape the City’s future through a range of exciting projects including the review of the City’s Local Planning Strategy and Local Planning Scheme.

You will join a high performing team and contribute to the delivery of a broad range of strategic land use planning related work including policy development and planning reform implementation, as well as the assessment of subdivision, scheme amendment, and structure plan proposals. This is a great opportunity to put into practice your strategic urban planning, research and analytical skills.

Applicants need to provide a covering letter addressing the following:

  • Sound experience in the preparation, review and application of planning strategies, planning schemes policies and related planning project work.
  • Sound experience in the assessment, processing, and reporting of subdivision applications and clearances, local development plans, structure plans, scheme amendments.
  • Ability to produce high quality reports on technical issues in plain English.
  • Highly developed analytical and research skills.
  • Minimum 2 years experience working in strategic and/or statutory land use planning.
