Senior Advisor – Work, Health and Safety

  • Salary: $107,874 - $124,012 per annum
  • Full time Permanent
  • Plus up to 15% superannuation (conditions apply)

This position will lead the City’s work, health and safety (WHS) advisory service ensuring best practice outcomes in line with legislation and Australian Standards.  

Contributing to the WHS strategy and providing specialist advice to Directors, Managers and Employees will be key responsibilities, along with the development and implementation of WHS programs and improvements to support a safe workplace.

We are looking for an experienced WHS professional, with strong communication and influencing skills to work effectively with stakeholders and the HR team.   

Successful applicants will be required to hold:

  • WA ‘C’ Class Drivers Licence
  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline and/or equivalent experience.
  • Current Construction Safety Induction Card (White Card) or willing to obtain within one month of appointment.

Your covering letter (no more than 2 pages) will need to address the following criteria:

  • Demonstrated experience in a Senior WHS role within a medium to large diverse organisation.
  • Experience contributing to and executing HR strategy activities.  
  • High level interpersonal, negotiation and influencing skills.
  • Contemporary knowledge of WHS Legislation, Regulations and Standards.

Appointment is subject to provision of a satisfactory National Police Certificate that is no more than three months old.
