Crew Leader Urban Forest – Full Time
- Salary Range: $73,553 per annum ($1,414 per week)
- Plus up to 15% superannuation (conditions apply)
- 9-day fortnight

The City is seeking experienced and motivated Urban Forest Crew Leaders to guide and support the teams responsible for caring for our city’s trees and streetscapes. If you’re a hands on leader who enjoys working outdoors, coordinating daily operations, and helping others grow their skills, this is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact in your community.
In this active leadership role, you will oversee the safe and efficient delivery of scheduled urban forest programs and responsive maintenance activities. You’ll play a vital part in maintaining the health, safety, and presentation of the City’s urban forest while delivering exceptional service to residents, ratepayers, and colleagues.
What we’re looking for
You’ll bring at least two years of experience in tree and streetscape maintenance, along with the following qualifications:
- Certificate III in Horticulture or Arboriculture, or equivalent qualification/experience
- WA MR Class Driver’s Licence
- Construction Safety Induction Card (White Card)
Desirable / Willing to obtain
We value experience but are also committed to supporting the right person to build their capability. The following are desirable or can be obtained within the role:
- Relevant plant operating certificates
- HIAB Crane Certificate (RIIHAN307E)
- EWP Operator Certificate
- Chainsaw Operator Certificate (or willingness to obtain within 3 months)
- Chemical handling certificates (or willingness to obtain within 3 months):
- AHCCHM307 – Prepare and apply chemicals
- AHCCHM304 – Transport and store chemicals
- AHCPMG301 – Control weeds
- First Aid Certificate including CPR (HLTAID011 & HLTAID009)
- Basic Traffic Management and Traffic Control Certificates (or willingness to obtain within 3 months).
