Environmental Health Officer – Part Time

  • Salary: $97,802 - $105,447 per annum pro-rata
  • 22.8 hours per week
  • Plus up to 15% superannuation (conditions apply)
  • Five weeks annual leave

Health and Environmental Services are seeking a suitably qualified Environmental Health Officer to join a team committed to high quality service delivery. You will be responsible for providing educational and statutory services to the community on environmental health and noise matters.

Your covering letter will need to address the following key criteria:

  • Qualifications approved by the Chief Health Officer under s18 of the Public Health Act 2016.
  • Knowledge and experience across a broad spectrum of environmental health issues.
  • Knowledge and experience in dealing with noise matters, allowing appointment as an authorised person and inspector under s87 and 88 of the Environmental Protection Act 1986.
  • Experience in undertaking monitoring programs relating to inspections of premises to identify environmental health risks.
  • Highly developed customer service skills.
