Coordinator Waste Services
- Salary: $128,463 to $136,720 per annum

The City’s Waste Services business unit is seeking an experienced and motivated Coordinator Waste Services to lead the management and oversight of the City’s waste operations. This pivotal leadership role is responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality, cost-effective, and sustainable waste management services that support the City’s commitment to environmental responsibility and community wellbeing.
As the Coordinator, you will play a key role in shaping the future of the City’s waste services. Your focus will be on maintaining compliance with legislation, driving efficiencies across all contracts and operations, and delivering exceptional customer service to residents, ratepayers, and employees. This is a unique opportunity to influence how waste services are delivered, improve sustainability outcomes, and ensure best practice management of City resources.
To succeed in this position, you will bring extensive experience in waste management, with a strong understanding of waste management regulations, environmental policies, and contract law. You will have a proven ability to deliver cost-effective and efficient waste service contracts, along with highly developed negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills to address challenges and implement improvements. Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills are essential, as you will be required to build effective relationships and achieve positive outcomes across the organisation and the community. A commitment to continuous improvement and the delivery of high-quality services will be key to your success.
Successful applicants will be required to hold:
- WA ‘C’ Class Drivers Licence
- Current National Police Certificate
- Relevant Tertiary Qualification

- Relevant tertiary qualification in Waste Management / Environmental Management / Engineering and significant experience in waste management operations.
- Diploma in Contract Management or equivalent experience.
- Diploma in Project Management or equivalent experience.
- Experience with people management tasks including resourcing, coaching and mentoring.
