Building Surveyor

  • Salary: $97,802 to $114,425 per annum
  • Plus up to 15% superannuation (conditions apply)
  • Full-time Permanent position
  • Ref No: 26-014

An exciting opportunity is available for a highly motivated and experienced Building Surveyor to join our Building Approvals team.

In this role you will be responsible for processing all types of building applications within statutory timeframes, ensuring compliance with the National Construction Code Building Code of Australia (NCC BCA), providing technical advice to internal and external stakeholders and customers, carrying out site inspections and preparing reports/correspondence on building related matters.

Your covering letter will need to address the following key criteria:

  • Demonstrated experience in a building surveyor role.
  • Experience and ability to interpret the NCC BCA, legislation, Local Laws, and policies and procedures.
  • Knowledge of the role of Local Government within the community, and its functions as they relate to building matters.
  • High level written and verbal communication skills.

Successful applicants will be required to hold:

  • Level 1 or 2 Building Surveyor (as recognised in Western Australia).
  • Accredited Building Surveyor or degree in Building Surveying (as recognised in Western Australia.
  • Valid Class C Drivers Licence.
  • Construction Safety Induction Card (White Card).
