Senior Team Leader – Urban Forest

  • Salary: $85,127 per annum ($1,637.07 per week)
  • Plus up to 15% superannuation (conditions apply)
  • 9-day fortnight

We are seeking a suitably qualified, highly motivated, and well-organised individual with substantial experience in arboriculture and leadership.  The Senior Team Leader Urban Forest is responsible for leading and managing the Urban Forest sub-unit team, implementing and monitoring daily work programs and schedules to ensure service delivery. 

To be successful for this position you will have a minimum of four years’ experience in arboriculture and the maintenance of trees and streetscapes and hold the following mandatory tickets and qualifications:

  • Relevant training, qualification and/or certificate in Tree Assessments.
  • Relevant leadership qualifications and/or demonstrated relevant experience.
  • WA MR Class Driver's Licence.
  • Construction Safety Induction Card (White Card).
  • Basic Traffic Management and Traffic Control Certificates (or willing to obtain within the first 3 months of appointment to position).
  • Current First Aid Certificate including CPR (HLTAID011 and HLTAID009) (desirable).
  • EWP Operators Certificate (desirable).
  • Current RIIHAN307E - HIAB Crane Certificate (desirable).

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Irrigation, Arboriculture, Sport Turf Management, Horticulture, Natural Area Management or related discipline, or relevant experience.
  • Minimum of four years’ experience in Arboriculture/tree asset management and Horticulture.
  • Supervising work groups/contractors and managing performance within a multidisciplinary landscape.
  • Highly effective time management and organisational skills including the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks.
  • Planning and delivering work schedules, ensuring expected standards are met within relevant timescales and budget.
