Rating Services Officer x2 – Full Time – Fixed Term

  • Salary: $74,368 - $87,637 per annum
  • Plus up to 15% superannuation (conditions apply)
  • 2x Fixed Term Full Time positions until 30 September 2027

The City of Joondalup is seeking 2 fixed term full time, reliable, hardworking Rating Services Officers with great customer service and communication skills. The ideal candidate will be a great team player with strong multitasking skills.

Reporting to the Coordinator Rating Services, these positions play a key role in delivering accurate and efficient rating services while providing high quality customer support in line with legislative requirements. You will undertake a diverse range of duties focused on ensuring the effective collection of rates, including the daily maintenance of the rating system and responding to telephone and written enquiries.

We are seeking applicants with strong problem solving abilities, well developed negotiation and conflict resolution skills, and experience interpreting and applying relevant legislation. Sound numeracy and communication skills are essential, along with demonstrated experience providing customer service in a fast paced environment.

Applicants will need to provide a covering letter which must address the following criteria:

  • Appropriate qualifications or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Developed keyboard & computer skills (Microsoft suite, databases).
  • Knowledge of basic accounting practices.
  • Customer service experience in a high pressure environment.
  • Debt collection experience.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills as well as negotiation and conflict resolution skills.

This is a fixed term position through to 30 September 2027. Previous experience in rates administration will be highly regarded.
