Youth Officer – Casual
- Salary: $45.16 – $48.23 per hour (includes casual loading)

This is an exciting and unique opportunity to support the implementation of youth development initiatives in the City of Joondalup.
The Youth Officer plays a pivotal role in supporting the delivery of inclusive, supportive, and engaging environments that provide young people with meaningful opportunities for social connection, community participation and personal development. This role is responsible for supporting the planning, delivery and evaluation of a range of programs, activities, and events for young people aged 12 to 25 across multiple settings including youth centre, school engagements, and community activations.
Applicants will need to be available to work a range of hours including afternoon, evening and occasional weekends.
Your covering letter will need to address the following criteria:
- Demonstrated ability to encourage positive work practices that support the safety and wellbeing of children.
- Experience engaging with young people from diverse socio-economic backgrounds.
- Knowledge of issues young people are facing, referral pathways and services.
- Tertiary qualification or progression towards a qualification in Youth Work / Community Services / Community Development or similar discipline and / or demonstrated relevant experience.
