General Hand Parks

  • Salary: Level C $66,464 / Level D $68,537 per annum
  • Plus up to 15% superannuation (conditions apply)
  • Full Time Permanent Position
  • Ref No: 26-053

In this hands-on busy role, you will carry out scheduled and reactive park maintenance including planting and weeding, and turf maintenance including mowing and whipper snipping, while delivering exceptional customer service to the City’s residents, ratepayers, and employees.

What you’ll bring

To be successful for this position you will have relevant experience or a genuine interest for learning park operations, and will hold the following mandatory tickets and qualifications:

  • WA MR or C Class Drivers Licence.
  • Construction Safety Induction Card (White Card).
  • Relevant experience and/or completion of or progress towards a qualification in:
    • Conservation and Ecosystem Management;
    • Horticulture or
    • Arboriculture 

Supported training

The City of Joondalup is committed to supporting the right person to develop and grow in the role. If you do not currently hold them, the City will support successful applicants to obtain the following mandatory certificates:

  • Chemical Certificate (Prepare and apply chemicals to control pest, weeds and diseases AHCCHM307, Transport and store chemicals AHCCHM304 and Control weeds AHCPMG301).
  • Chainsaw operating certificate.
  • Basic Traffic Management Certificate.
