Customer Service Officer

  • Salary: $81,986 - $87,637 per annum
  • Permanent Full Time position
  • Plus up to 15% superannuation (conditions apply)

The City is seeking a suitably experienced Customer Service Officer to assist the Community Safety Business Unit. Reporting to the Business Support Coordinator, this position will be responsible for delivering quality, timely customer service and administrative support. The role is heavily engaged with internal and external customers, taking calls from City ratepayers and visitors, providing advice and information on Community Safety-related Acts, Regulations, and Local Laws.  Previous experience in a customer service role or administration in Local Government is highly desirable.

Applicants need to provide a covering letter addressing the following:

  • Tertiary qualification in administration and/or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in a similar customer service role.
  • Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills to resolve issues and provide successful outcome for customers.
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply acts, regulations and local laws.
  • Demonstrated ability to work within a team environment and to handle difficult situations.
  • Demonstrated experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook) and the ability to learn new computer applications.
