Skilled General Hand - Irrigation
- Salary: $71,014 per annum ($1,365 per week)
- Plus up to 15% superannuation (conditions apply)
- Full Time position 9-day fortnight

As part of our Park Operations team, you will play an important role in keeping the City’s parks, streetscapes and landscaped areas looking their best. This hands-on position involves maintaining, repairing and installing irrigation systems across a variety of public spaces and capital works projects. You will also provide practical advice, technical support and quality customer service to both employees and residents.
What you’ll bring
To succeed in this role, you will bring solid experience in irrigation installation and maintenance, along with a sound understanding of irrigation electrical components and controller equipment. Most importantly, you will be a reliable team player who takes pride in delivering high-quality work and contributing to well-maintained public spaces that the community can enjoy. You’ll need to have at least two years of experience in irrigation installation and maintenance practices, and programming of irrigation controllers and hold the following licences/tickets and qualifications:
- Completion of or progress towards relevant qualifications and/or certificates in Irrigation or relevant experience.
- WA C Class or WA MR Class Drivers Licence.
- Construction Safety Induction Card (White Card).
Training supported
The City is committed to supporting the right person to obtain the additional certificates required for success in this role. Training will be provided where the successful applicant does not already hold:
- Basic Worksite Traffic Management Certificate.
- Current First Aid Certificate including CPR (HLTAID011 and HLTAID009).
