We are seeking a suitably qualified, highly motivated and well-organised individual with experience in property management, tenancy administration and stakeholder liaison to join our Asset Management Services team as a Property Officer.
Reporting to the Coordinator Property Management, you will support the administration and management of the City's diverse property portfolio, including community and commercial facilities, freehold land and Crown land managed by the City. The role is responsible for assisting with the preparation and management of leases, licences and other tenure arrangements, undertaking property inspections, administering financial and reporting processes, and supporting property-related projects and contracts.
You will work closely with lessees, community groups, commercial operators, contractors and internal stakeholders to ensure the City's property assets are managed effectively and in accordance with legislative and organisational requirements.
Applicants need to provide a covering letter (no more than two pages) addressing their experience in the following:
- Relevant property management related qualification and/or equivalent relevant experience.
- Liaising with tenants, community groups, commercial operators and other stakeholders to achieve positive property management outcomes.
- Undertaking property or facility inspections, identifying maintenance requirements and coordinating corrective actions.
- Financial administration, including rental calculations, rent reviews, invoicing, budgeting and financial reporting
- Interpreting and applying relevant building codes, standards and legislative requirements.
- Contract and project administration, including procurement processes and the engagement of contractors and consultants.
The successful applicant must hold a current WA C Class Drivers Licence.
