Building Surveyor – Permanent Full time
- Salary: $97,802 - $114,425 per annum
- Plus up to 15% superannuation (conditions apply)

An exciting opportunity exists for an enthusiastic and experienced Building Surveyor to join our dynamic Building Approvals team.
In this role, you will be responsible for assessing and processing a broad range of building applications within statutory timeframes, ensuring compliance with the National Construction Code (NCC), Building Code of Australia (BCA), relevant legislation, and local requirements. You will also provide professional technical advice to internal and external stakeholders, undertake site inspections, and prepare reports and correspondence relating to building compliance and approval matters.
To be successful in this role, your covering letter should demonstrate:
- Proven experience working in a Building Surveyor role.
- Strong ability to interpret and apply the NCC, BCA, relevant legislation, Local Laws, policies, and procedures.
- Sound understanding of Local Government functions and responsibilities relating to building services and compliance.
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
Essential Requirements
Successful applicants must hold, or be able to obtain prior to commencement:
- Level 1 or Level 2 Building Surveyor registration (recognised in Western Australia).
- Accredited Building Surveyor qualification or a Degree in Building Surveying (recognised in Western Australia).
- A current WA C Class Driver’s Licence.
- A current Construction Safety Induction Card (White Card).
