Senior Team Leader Parks (North)

  • Salary: $87,681 per annum ($1,686 per week)
  • Plus up to 15% superannuation (conditions apply)
  • 9-day fortnight

We are seeking a suitably qualified, highly motivated, and well-organised individual with substantial experience in horticulture and leadership. The Senior Team Leader Parks is responsible for leading and managing the Parks sub-unit team, implementing and monitoring daily work programs and schedules to ensure service delivery. 

What you’ll bring

To be successful for this position you will have a minimum of four years’ experience in horticulture turf management and park operations and hold the following mandatory tickets and qualifications:

  • WA MR Class Driver's Licence.
  • Construction Safety Induction Card (White card).

Supported training

The City of Joondalup is committed to supporting the right person to develop and grow in the role. If you do not currently hold them, the City will support successful applicants to obtain the following mandatory certificates:

  • Chainsaw Certificate.
  • Chemical Certificate.
  • Basic Traffic Management and Traffic Control Certificates.
  • Current First Aid Certificate including CPR (HLTAID011 and HLTAID009).

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Irrigation, Arboriculture, Sport Turf Management, Horticulture, Natural Area Management or related discipline, or relevant experience.
  • Relevant leadership qualifications and/or demonstrated relevant experience.
  • Minimum of four years’ experience in park operations and maintenance.
  • Supervising work groups/contractors and managing performance within a multidisciplinary landscape.
  • Planning and delivering work schedules, ensuring expected standards are met within relevant timescales and budget.
