Recruitment Privacy Statement

The City of Joondalup is committed to the responsible handling of personal information collected as part of our recruitment process.

The City may collect and store information about your application including reference checks, pre-employment medical assessments, right to work, educational qualifications and criminal history checks as part of the recruitment process.

Information collected about you will:

  • Only be used in relation to recruitment and selection processes.
  • Not be disclosed to a third party without your consent, except as provided in this statement or otherwise required by law.
  • Be stored securely.

 As part of the recruitment process the City may utilise the services of a third party such as a recruitment agent or job experts from external organisations to sit on interview panels.

Unsuccessful applications will be retained for a minimum period of three months after the conclusion of the selection process.

Applicants may be required to provide their written consent to check records maintained by Police and other Government Departments as a part of the selection process.

Applicants may be required to undertake a pre-employment medical assessment.

The City will rely on information provided for selection process requirements.
